Ahmed Toure marked his Medeama SC debut with a brace on his return to the Ghana Premier League against Elmina Sharks at the Ndoum Sports Complex.
Signed to provide a squad boost for the Tarkwa-based club last month, the former Asante Kotoko attacker today earned his first start for the team when they made the trip to the Paa Kwasi Nduom Stadium.
Putting on an outstanding performance, Ahmed Toure scored after just 3 minutes into the first half to give Medeama SC the lead.
Although Benjamin Boateng would equalize to draw level for Elmina Sharks in the 25th minute, Ahmed Toure scored again to complete his brace and win the game for Medeama SC in the second half.
As a result of today’s win, Medeama SC has now climbed to fourth on the Ghana Premier League table.
Elmina Sharks have no recorded their first home defeat of the season after eight games.
