Mohammed Kudus delivers ‘delicious’ assist as West Ham thump Brentford in EPL
Mohammed Kudus served a sumptuous assist for Jarrod Bowen in West Ham's win against Brentford.
Mohammed Kudus showcased scorching form as he spearheaded West Ham’s resurgence, contributing significantly to their 4-2 victory over Brentford in the Premier League on Monday evening.
The 23-year-old Ghanaian dynamo, a pivotal figure for the Black Stars, saw the Hammers swiftly establish a commanding 2-0 lead within the initial 10 minutes at the London Stadium.
Despite French striker Neal Maupay narrowing the gap before halftime, Mo Kudus and his compatriots were undeterred, displaying relentless determination in the second half.
He orchestrated a pivotal moment when he delivered a precisely executed cross, finding the head of Jarrod Bowen, who completed his hat-trick with finesse.
Adding to the spectacle, former Chelsea defender Emerson Palmeri bolstered the scoreline just six minutes after Bowen’s third goal.
Although DR Congo’s Yoane Wissa managed to notch a late consolation goal, it was insufficient to thwart West Ham’s resurgence, marking their return to winning ways following an arduous eight-game winless streak.
In recognition of his stellar performance, Kudus was granted a well-earned reprieve in stoppage time, as David Moyes opted to substitute him off for Englishman Benjamin Johnson.
Kudus, who has not scored for West Ham since the tail-end of December last year, would hope to get among the goal scorers sooner than later when the East London club play as guest to Everton on March 2 at the Goodison Park.
