There was calm tension before the match. When the match started Skyy FC superiority became evident. The maturity and the control of the ball was spectacular. Against the run of play Lions registered an early goal converting a free kick by the 14th minute.

This emboldened the home supporters to find their voices and the energy was infectious. The Lions began to row on the pitch to tame the Eagles. Try as the Eagles did to soar, the Lions kept them from scoring even though Skyy FC dominance in as clearer. Martin did very well stretching his arm to use his shoulder to control the ball, and further controlled the ball with his right foot and passed the ball into the ball passed the Lions Goalkeeper to register the equalizer.

When the teams returned for the second half, pattern did not change much. Skyy FC dominate play with MVP winner Emmanuel Fosu Kyei dictated play from the middle of the pitch. The wind that created so much dust in the first half subsided and visibility got batter. It was obvious that Lions over focused on stopping Baba Amando and Prince Acquah and had no response to the overlapping run of Captain Martin Owusu, Andrew Cobbinah and Eric Antwi Konadu.

Baba Amando and Victor Mends were substituted by Akwasi Sarpong and Baba Panso. Prince Acquah pushed up to fill Amando’s role as play melee while Akwasi Sarpong Sat infront of the Defense line effectively playing DM role to stop the Lions.

The super sub was Baba Panso. The young striker proved to be a big match player as he added more bite to the Skyy FC threat. His touches and movement was a delight to watch. He produced the assist pass from the left wing in a typical one touch attacking routine for the man on fire Andrews Cobbinah to dash and dive low to head the ball to the last pole beating the Lions Goalkeeper who over stretched in attempt to palm the ball out of the net. He ended up injured and had to be substituted for the one minute and 5min added time.

The Ragles of Wasaa East soared to the Quarter Finals of MTN FA Cup with class and finesse and looking good to progress to the semi finals given the competition Dreams, Legon Cities and Dwarfs in the Sourhern zone may offer.
