Following the suspension of the 2022/23 betPawa Premier League due to a court injunction, Asante Kotoko engaged Techiman Liberty in a friendly game on Thursday morning.
The Porcupine Warriors hit five past the Division Two League side at the Adako Jachie Sports Complex.
Coach Seydou Zerbo commenced the game with Frederick Asare in posts. The back line included Agyapong, Tedeku, Sherif, and Appau
In midfield, Boadu alongside Morrison, Zeze with Oppong, Amankona, and Mukwala leading the attack.
Zeze opened the scoring before Mukwala added the second for his fourth goal in three friendly games. Liberty pulled one back before Isaac Oppong netted Kotoko’s third before the break.
After recess, Kotoko introduced a different set of players including Justice Blay, Afoakwa, Sarkodie, Asmah, Dwamena etc.
The Reds continued from where they left off in the first half as Rocky Dwamena and Patrick Asmah scored two additional goals to make it 5-1.
Kotoko will continue with their preparation as they wait for the resumption of the league.
