Nii Odartey Lamptey has left his post as interim coach of Elmina Sharks after two months, citing personal reasons, Ahomka FM reports.
The 46-year old who owns Glow Lamp Academy which is situated in Elmina replaced Yaw Acheampong, who was sacked by the Sharks in February 2021.
Under Odartey Lamptey, Elmina Sharks played 4 games in the ongoing Ghana Premier League, winning 3 (Kotoko, Dwarfs and WAFA) and a defeat against Liberty.
With the recent scintillating performance of the club since e took over, the news comes as a surprise with his resignation.
He will have his last training session with the team tomorrow. This means the former Ghana star will not be in the dugout for the club when they travel to Dormaa to battle struggling Aduana Stars.
Assistant Coach Sam Addo takes over from where he left.
