La Liga heavyweights Barcelona have on Friday announced a fresh addition to the club’s youth setup.
The player to have put pen to paper on terms in Catalunya’s capital? David Oduro.
Oduro, for his part, is an 18-year-old defender, who generally operates at left-back.
An U20 international with Ghana, the starlet is held in altogether high regard in his home country, where he has spent recent seasons plying his club trade with Accra Lions.
Oduro’s name emerged as a prominent one in the headlines across Spain earlier today, upon word surfacing that the youngster had made his way onto the radar of one of La Liga’s leading clubs.
And, as alluded to above, late this evening, the same side have closed a deal for his signature.
As per a statement across the website and social media platforms of Barcelona, Oduro has penned a three-year deal with the club, ahead of linking up with Barca Atlètic:
‘FC Barcelona have reached an agreement with Ghanaian side Accra Lions for the transfer of player David Oduro, who will join Barça Atlètic. Oduro has signed a three-year contract, until 30 June 2027.’
