Player Welfare body, Professional Footballers Association of Ghana has written to Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko over the unfair treatment meted out to some players.
It would be recalled that reports of the Porcupine Warriors clearing out a large pool of players deemed surplus to requirement went rife with names such as Empem Dacosta already walking through the exit door.
Kelvin Andoh, formerly of Wa All Stars (now Legon Cities) and utility player Douglas Owusu Ansah joined the growing bandwagon exiting the club with or without prior notice.
These players then resorted to the players’ welfare body after the club asked them to come for their termination letters without any consultation with these players or their representatives.
Kelvin Andoh was called by the Administrative manager to come for his termination letter likewise Douglas Owusu Ansah.
Both players were surprised because the club had not engaged them to arrive at this decision so complained to the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana.
It appears their complaints have not fallen on dead ears with the PFAG through Yussif Chibsah writing to Asante Kotoko to iron out any outstanding issue between them and the players in question.
