Ghanaian young goalkeeper Christian Addai suffered a horrific leg break in Tema Youth FC game against Bibiani Goldstars FC in the Ghana Football Association Division One League Super Cup on Friday morning.

Addai who is the captain of Tema Youth FC picked up a horror injury after colliding with Andrews Baidoo of Bibiani GoldStars in the closing stages of the penultimate game at the Madina Astroturf.

On the 84th minute, his attempt to deny Bibiani Goldstars from scoring resulted in a serious after a challenge from Baidoo, with his right leg giving way beneath the knee as he fell to the ground.

The 19-year-old shot-stopper was rushed to the hospital via ambulance, having lay on the ground motionlessly with a concussion for several minutes.

The career-threatening injury left the players and officials of both sides teary as well as the supporters.

A lone goal scored by Evans Osei Wusu handed Tema Youth FC a comfortable win over the newly-promoted Ghana Premier League outfit.
