Ghana Premier League newboys Real Tamale United have written to league champions Hearts of Oak for the services of midfielder Manaf Umar Gumah, according to a report filed by Oyerepa FM sports journalist Gideon Kwame Boateng.
Real Tamale United (RTU) returned to the elite division after many years in the wilderness of the Division One League when they edged Tano Bofoakwa on final day to pick the sole ticket to the Premier League in Zone One.
The Pride of the North have been linked with a host of players as head coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko seeks to reinforce his squad ahead of the 2021-2022 Ghana Premier League which kick starts in October.
Among the many to be linked with RTU includes Auroras graduate and Hearts of Oak midfielder Manaf Umar.
According to the latest intelligence gathered by Gideon Boateng, the Tamale-based outfit wants to purchase Manaf on permanent basis per the instructions from the directors of the club not to recruit players on loan.
Manaf, who has seen his game time reduce drastically under Samuel Boadu has not been included in the 36-man squad for the CAF Champions League campaign by the Phobians and might be lured to move from the capital to join the newly promoted side.
