An old photo of the two players has since gone viral on the internet.
Muntari was picked up by the Aspire Academy at a very young age, and left Kumasi to play in Qatar. After years of development, he switched nationalities to the Middle East country.
These days, he plays for Qatari Stars League side Al-Duhail. Meanwhile, Salisu left Kumasi to join Nsawam-based African Talent Football Academy. His meteoric rise saw him quickly establish himself as a starter in the first team. He then left to Spain after he was scouted by Real Valladolid before later joining English Premier League side Southampton in 2020.
