Four-time winners of the Africa Cup Of Nations, Ghana have been drawn in a relatively tough group in the forthcoming TotalEnergies AFCON which will be staged in Cameroon next year.
Ghana was drawn in Group C together with 1976 champions Morocco, who considered a single goal in the qualifiers, as well as first timers Comoros and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang’s Gabon.
The Black Stars will hope to arrest the 39-year jinx of clinching the coveted Africa Cup Of Nations after a botched attempt in 2019 were Ghana lost out on the dreaded penalty shootout to Tunisia in the round of 16.
The competition kicks start on January 9 2022 with Cameroon and Burkina Faso playing the curtain raiser.
