Young rising boxer, Alfred Lamptey, on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 presented his Universal Boxing Organization (UBO) and West Africa Boxing Union (WABU) Featherweight titles to his sponsors, Ashfoam at an impressive ceremony at the Ashfoam Showroom in Accra.
The undefeated champion, also known as ‘Bukom Bomber’ with 8 fights and 6 knockouts beat veteran George Krampah to win the titles at the Bukom Boxing Arena on March 6, 2021.
The Marketing & Communications Manager of Ashfoam Nana Yaw Ampem-Darko Antwi said, ” From the management and staff of Ashfoam, we are be very much interested in a sporting called boxing and for me, we can say that, when we can’t find 11 players to go and play for a certain sport at least, we can get one sports that can go and represent Ghana with one person and still bring glory to our Nation and the history is there for all of us to read about.
So for us as a Cooperate body, with a background interm of youth development, interm of having to support the Ghanaian youth in all aspects of their career and the careers are many when you go to the lesser sports, so many of them that you can identify with one person or the other.
For all that we’re looking forward is that, we keep on advising that, one person whatever you do, show example to other children or other youth who want to also develop their career. And what we want to tell you from our management level is that, please you need to be focused, don’t be moved by the art of foutune to end your career that you have set for yourself.
I think you have to be focused and once you are focus and we are honest in our dealings, the company will support you to get to the highest level”.
The CEO of Box office Promotions, Alex Ntiamoah thanked Ashfoam and the media for supporting boxing in Ghana.
Alex said, “I remembered when we came here the first day, Ashfoam gave Alfred a bed, the boy told me that, this bed that Ashfoam gave me dough is a comfortable bed but he won’t let this bed to draw me back but it has to push me to to get bigger things in life.
Today we are here to present the Universal Boxing Organization (UBO) and West Africa Boxing Union (WABU) Featherweight titles to Ashfoam and we thanked them very much for their support.
