Ugandan striker, Steven Dese Mukwala has arrived in Ghana this afternoon to complete his move to Asante Kotoko and is set for the mandatory medicals.
The elite forward has already agreed personal terms with the ‘Porcupines’ and will officially sign a two-year deal if he successfully conduct all his medical tests in the next few days.
The 23-year-old was one of the standout players for Ugandan side URA FC last season, netting 13 goals in the Ugandan Premier League to finish as the club’s second top scorer.
He will be expected to hit the ground running as he leads the line together with Georges Mfegue and club’s top scorer last term, Franck Mbella.
The Ugandan international will after passing his medical join his teammates who resumed for preseason on Monday in Kumasi before leaving for Turkey to complete the second phase of the preseason training.
Mukwala was also a target for Sudanese giants Al Hilal Omdurman and couple of clubs in the far East who were equally interested in the profile of the player but the Ghanaian giants have won the race to land him.
