Upper East RFA Chairman Gifts Sports Journo Richard Achore Aesthetically Appealing Fugu Ahead Of Wedding Ceremony
Upper East Regional Football Association chairman Salifu Zida has gifted multifunctional sports journalist Richard Achore a smock ahead of his looming wedding ceremony.
Richard Achore, a versatile sports journalist who doubles as the Venue Match Officer of Dreams FC’s Theatre of Dreams in Dawu will walk down the aisle this Saturday August 7 with longtime sweetheart Abigail Patterson.
Throwing his weight behind the burgeoning couple, Salifu Zida – a member of the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association – presented a smock to the groom Richard Achore, who hails from the Northern region.
The smock is also called Fugu or Batakari in the northern region, dansika in Frafra, fugu or Banaa in Kusaal both in the upper east region.
It was first very popular with royalties and kings in the Northern region and thus Richard was presented with the priceless asset, which has turned into a national symbol, by the Black Starlets Management Committee Committee chairman.
The wedding has been scheduled to take place at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Faith Congregation located in Shiashie, a suburb of Accra on Saturday August 7 2021 at 1.00pm.
