Ghana international Kudus Mohammed climbed off the bench to score a spectacular strike in AFC Ajax defeat to PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch Super Cup.
PSV Eindhoven came from behind to record a 5-3 win over AFC Ajax in the Super Cup at the Johan Cruijff Aren on Saturday evening.
AFC Ajax took the lead through former Tottenham man Steven Bergwijn, but the Eindhoven side came roaring back with two goals before half-time.
Guus Till netted a double to turn the game around before Antony squared things up after the break.
Dutch-born of Ghanaian descent Cody Gakpo restored PSV’s lead before Till completed his hat-trick on the 69th minute, giving Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s side a two-goal lead.
Kudus Mohammed gave Ajax a lifeline with his jaw-dropping strike on the 71st minute of the game but his strike wasn’t enough as the fixture ended in a 5-3 win for PSV Eindhoven with a late goal from Xavi Simons.
Mohammed was introduced on the 63rd minute as replacement for Steven Berghuis.
He scored three goals for Ajax during their preseason games.
