The Black Satellites of Ghana have sealed qualification to the finals of the 2020 WAFU Zone B U-20 Cup of Nations tournament after beating Niger 5-3 on penalties on Tuesday.
The Satellites locked horns with the Menas this afternoon for a clash in the semi-finals of the tournament being hosted in Benin.
Following a tough encounter between the two teams, neither side could score in the 90 minutes and had to head into extra-time.
With no goals in the 30 minutes, Ghana and Niger headed to the shootout to decide who gets to play in the finals.
On the back of a show of confidence from the Black Satellites players, they have cruised to a 5-3 victory to book a place in the finals of the 2020 WAFU Zone B U-20 Cup of Nations tournament.
In line with the win, the Ghana U-20 team has sealed automatic qualification to the 2021 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations tournament scheduled to be played in Mauritania.
