Wisla Krakow midfielder Yaw Yeboah has been handed a late call-up to the Black Stars for next month’s FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa.
The former Manchester City midfielder has been in scintillating form for Wisla Krakow this season, scoring 3 goals in 5 games. Yaw recently made headlines when he scored a puskas worthy goal for the Krakow-based outfit.
Despite Yaw Yeboah’s fantastic form, he was overlooked by CK Akonnor for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers. However, with teams in Europe’s top five leagues blocking their players from traveling due to Covid-19, the former Ghana U-23 skipper has been handed a called up to fill the void left.
Ghana will play Ethiopia on Friday, September 3 at the Cape Coast Stadium, before playing South Africa on Monday, September 6, 2021 in Johannesburg.
