Communications Director of the reigning Ghana Premier League champions Hearts of Oak Opare Addo has drawn positives from his side’s narrow loss to Togolese outfit ASKO de Kara.
Hearts of Oak, Ghana’s sole representatives in CAFs interclub championship, took on Togolese league champions ASKO de Kara in a preparatory game ahead of their double header against CI Kamsar in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
The Phobians lost by a solitary goal as coach Samuel Boadu put his sides through the paces ahead of their September 12 2021 CAF Champions League preliminary round first leg fixture.
Despite the dent in their preparations, spokesperson of the Rainbow Club drew positives from their defeat.
“We lost against ASKO de Kara but the positives are good enough,” – he told Kumasi-based radio station Oyerepa FM.
Meanwhile skipper Fatawu Mohammed, goalkeeper Richard Attah and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, who were on national team duties have returned to the team’s training grounds as Samuel Boadu puts final touches to his side.
