Ghanaian forward Yaw Yeboah shined in Ghana’s narrow win over Ethiopia in the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on Friday night.
The former Ghana U23 captain was a second half substitute and came close in the 77th minute with a long strike but the goalkeeper punched the ball for a rebound towards Andre Ayew whose strike was blocked.
Yeboah was a thorn in the Ethiopians flesh with his dazzling runs on and off the ball to give CK Akonnor reasons why he should start against South Africa on Monday.
After his show yesterday, Yeboah would be expected to start for Ghana on Monday evening against South Africa at the FNB stadium in Johannesburg.
The Black Stars are on top of the group with three points follow by South Africa and Zimbabwe one each and Ethiopia zero.
